I teach fourth grade Language Arts. My subject is very tough. Recently, we focused on subject-verb agreement.
I tell my students over and over, " Never say we is or you is."
A young lady just happened to mention, after our lesson earlier in the week on correctly using forms of be, that she still says we is and so does her mama.
The following day this young lady brings in a poem she had written and gives it to her home room teacher. When asked about the poem, she said she got it off of a fan at church.
So, this morning in she comes with the fan! It was one of those old fashioned fans, and beside the poem she had corrected the grammar in the poem! These are the moments when I love my job the most.
Thought I would share the poem! Haha
We Is Friends
Me and you is friends
You smile, I smile,
You cry, I cry,
You hurt, I hurt,
You jump off a bridge...
I sho' will miss you.

I aint no yuppie girl Jack!
Hard to believe my sweet girl is 5! I will say this year's party was my favorite, ever!
I hope everyone had a HAppy HAPPY Happy time! The Duck Dynasty party is in the books! I'm thinking it was great because Chloe Jo said she didn't want it to be over:) We enjoyed the fun times with our family!
Some of you may be wondering what the activities were. Ha!
Some played the game Perfection from one of the episodes on show. Another episode about frogging' was the inspiration for our frog eating contest. Which was actually giant gummy bullfrogs! Yuck! And jace says you can fix anything with duck tape and extension cords which gave me the idea for a Duck tape challenge to make Mrs. Kay's apron completely out of duck tape! It was amazing:)
My fondest memory was "the golfcart ride" I took some of my favorite women on. The laughs were much needed and was a wonderful way to end the night!!!
Enjoy the pics and thanks for making Chloe Jo's birthday the BEST! Until the next party...ha!!! Love you all:)
