LANGUAGE ARTS...
Well, I will say I made it through week 3! I am loving these kids! I am really loving having only one prep a day! (If I had more I probably would not be able to make my first comment.ha)
I love my administration. I love who I teach with. I had almost forgotten how much I love the Huntingdon Mustangs cheers...because I really loved our first pep rally. I love the sweet notes I have been getting from my kids. I love the challenge of using what you have to offer kids a creative lesson. I love that Language Arts requires me to think and imagine...about things I haven't used in years. I love that I got lots of hugs today from lots of kids. I love it when I hear from a kid "thank you for making fun centers"...or the words "you are a great teacher"...I love making that shy kid smile. I love that one of my kids came to tell me bye before he left today.
I am feeling very much used by God these days. So, that whisper I was hearing was truth. "My home" is full of kids who need love and affection from me. "My home" is full of kids who need to feel encouraged by me. Yes, I have had my moments of discouragement...and I will have many more. But, gosh...it is good to be home.
LESS LITTLE GIRL DRAMA...
This week has been better. Chloe Jo is getting more and more settled. She still cries a little whimper as the week goes on...but I feel a bit teary by Thursday too because I am literally dragging myself out of bed. The Vaughns are just tired! haha Lots of changes make us weary, I guess.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT WE BRANCHED OUT...
Chloe Jo went to her first night of children's choir. I am so excited. David and I are hopeful that she learns some new songs and that they do not turn in to the latest ABC remix like the rest of her greatest hits. No matter how it starts out...it always becomes the alphabet song. ha I will say my favorite right now is "Twankle Twankle Wittle Staruh"! I guess she will take after her mother with her southern drawl.
You all have a wonderful weekend. I am thinking about getting some rest...and cleaning up on my nasty house! We will see if either of that happens! Happy Friday night, friends!
