WHAT WAS I THINKING...
Picture this...a big walk-in closet of a store...with tons of shoes/shoe boxes and crying toddlers...all on sales tax Saturday. For the life of me, I do not know why I thought it couldn't wait another day. My first sign should have been that they had a sign in sheet at the register. My second sign should have been that I had to say excuse me fourteen times to get to the register to even sign in. My third sign should have been that even after I signed the sign in sheet...they did not go by the list because they still didn't know who had been waited on or not due to the chaos going on.
I'm telling you...IF these people working in there last the duration of the day, then I totally understand them closing at 5. They are gonna hit happy hour wide open. The kids were all crying....fighting over books they had in the store...Chloe Jo was whining about wanting a "pepop" and a sticker because the only place I usually take her is the drug store or the bank...all the parents were yelling "be nice" to their kids...kids were crying because of the scary guy measuring the kids feet...and the older lady kept yelling "who is next" and talking about the Sperrys that sold out as soon as they got them in.
By the time I had waited on the lady to get the shoes from the back in Chloe Jo's size, I was absolutely crazy! This woman that worked there knew I had reached my limit...I believe it is part of their training...to see how long you can keep someone waiting with their toddler...so they will just agree and purchase. Just trying to keep Chloe Jo from moving shoe boxes...and seated to try them on while listening to all the ruckus in the background...ohhh meeeee! The saleslady came out from the back and tried the shoes on her and was talking with me about giving her room to grow...it was one of those teacher on Charlie Brown moments..."wha wha whoamp"...when you finally just say...I will take all of them! ha
Happy Sales tax weekend everyone...this girl will stick to Internet shopping.
