I am soooo tired...and the weekend is over. blah

ADJUSTING...

Well, I must say these past few weeks have been more than tough.  I am excited about my new challenge and feel I am where I am supposed to be but this doesn't come with ease.  Chloe Jo is having a tough time and that part is about to kill me. David and I have done this to her, I guess.  We are creatures of habit.  We do the same thing every day.  We are very predictable.  Therefore, change is harder for her and I feel horrible about it.  I am convinced that in time she will adjust and learn to be happy about new friends and teachers.  BUT, SHE HAS BEEN VERY ANGRY.

I should remind myself that this too shall pass...but I have my doubts at the moment.  This all started with potty training...then new school...new teachers...new friends...new routine...new breakfast and lunch choices...new rules.  I am completely worn out from trying to deal with her fits.  It isn't all about her anymore and she doesn't like it.  There are more kids...and less one-on-one.  As her mother, I see the need for her to learn to adjust in any situation.  Hope today goes better.  ha

STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN...

So, as I sat here last night trying to blog a little...I got the scare of my life.  All was quiet in the house and all of a sudden I hear a loud explosion/pouring sound onto the wood floor in the kitchen.  My heart was racing because I thought someone was in my house!  As I rounded the corner I could hear a cracking sound...David was already asleep and I figured the unusual loud noise woke him...but no...I faced this all by my lonely.

I got in there and glass was everywhere.  My outside glass front of my oven had exploded and shattered into a million pieces on to the floor in the kitchen!  The oven was not even on....it wasn't even hot anymore!  I had cooked earlier and it wasn't broken.  I went back and shockingly said to David that the weirdest thing had just happened.  He got up...my heart still racing...and we cleaned up glass for the next hour.

BACKYARD REFLECTIONS...

I have had very little time for sitting in the backyard lately.  I have actually missed sharing with you all!  I have been working on birthday party stuff for Chloe Jo in my spare time.  Also, always thinking about an innovative way to teach Language Arts to 4th grade students.  These kids are great.  My prayer is that things go smoother this week.  Hope you all have a wonderful week.  It is almost scarecrow weather...my favorite season to decorate for!  I will have lots to share, friends.
